IHC’s finger-jointed solid block timber products are innovative solutions, ideal for projects with large windows. With more than 60 years of experience in wood, IHC offers products that combine the natural durability of African species such as Bossé, Kosipo and Sapelli, with impeccable gluing processes certified by recognised organisations.
Multi-ply finger-jointed laminates are manufactured from wood harvested sustainably from responsibly managed forests (Forest Stewardship Council,® FSC® C022952) by IHC in the Republic of Congo.
Wood and products made from wood are important players in the fight against global warming. Favouring this economy means maintaining the second largest tropical forest in the world, i.e. the Congo Basin, so that it can fulfil its environmental role (storing CO2, maintaining biodiversity) for years to come.
Founded in 1962, INTERHOLCO (IHC) delivers African, European and North American hardwood products (lumber, logs, decking, laminated scantlings) to B2B customers in more than 40 countries worldwide. Recognized as a sustainability leader, IHC responsibly manages 1.16 million hectares of natural rainforest in the Republic of Congo via its subsidiary IFO, turning harvested wood into high-value timber products that serve customer needs, as well as improving our climate and increasing social justice. IHC is the first forestry company to have acquired FSC Ecosystem Services certification for biodiversity protection in the Congo Basin, on top of FSC Forest Management certification (Forest Stewardship Council, FSC® C022952).
