01.09.2022. We are honoured to announce that INTERHOLCO's 60 Years Shaping The Future a report which transparently monitors the company’s sustainability monitoring, has been awarded 'Best in the World' by the Hallbars Awards 2022 jury in the category of 'Timber and Forest Management'.

Interholco's report ranks first for the second year in a row, a huge source of pride for the group's teams from the Republic of Congo to Switzerland. More than 1,500 sustainability reports from 94 countries around the world entered the 2022 edition of the award. The jury finally selected 294 reports from 51 countries in 8 categories, covering a total of 95 different sectors.

The Hallbars Awards is the most prestigious international recognition among the sustainability awards, based at Alfred Nobel's 'Björkborn' residence in Karlskoga, Sweden. This year's awards ceremony will take place in Angkor, Cambodia, in November.

The full list of winners in each category is now available on the Foundation's website: BEST IN THE WORLD LIST 2022 (hallbars.org)

INTERHOLCO offers Sustainable Hardwood 'Made in Africa' as a responsible solution to promote better living conditions (construction with wood), reduce climate change, and increase social justice. As FSC-certified producer specialized in producing and trading logs, sawn timber, glued laminated scantlings and other products, INTERHOLCO manages the entire chain, from forest to customers since 1962. Harvesting wood selectively, INTERHOLCO protects 1.1 million hectares of natural forest from permanent conversion to agricultural land, giving 16’000 local inhabitants access to quality basic services and keeping the habitat of thousands of gorillas and elephants.
